So Jonah started to get on the couch a while back ago, but we were able to pretty successfully keep him from actually doing so. That has changed now. It has gotten to the point to where we just can’t keep him off now. So now we are forced to just try to somehow teach him the safe ways to be on the couch (butt on the couch at all times) and the safe way to get down (not over the cat that is sleeping on the arm of the couch).
I think Julie and I can definitely be pretty over protective at times and I think this is one of those times to an extent. He could get seriously hurt playing on the couch and chair in the living room, but we can’t keep him off forever. I guess it is a fine line between overprotective and carelessness.
It is however one of the cutest things to see his face light up when he does something he doesn’t normally get to do.
Have I mentioned before how much I love that child?
